600k is for 1 loop with leeching (without last life). Maybe there is way for massive leeching but don't know how. game has invisible timer. After end of time mega bomb kill you. max possible is 800.000 pts in first loop (4 miss).

timer is invisible, but I know a secret for not miss a life.

japanese world record is 1.624.000 but 2 milions is possible.

is necessary lost for leeching 16 lives

for a perfect play is necessary lost 4 lives in first loop and 12 lifes in second loop.

Eeeeee.... we talk about the same game? Aliens? How you get 16 lives? With 16 lives I don't see any problem to get 2mln. I never saw more than 4 lives.
Maybe japanese clones have more lives.

eh eh eh eh not... is the same version that you know.

but is not real 16 lives. Max real lives are 9 in secondo loop. Other 7 lives is secret strategies: you can death for time... but with a bonus energy in the screen you can increase 1 live lost

exemple of fake 1 up live:

leeching (you have 2 lives)---->death for time (you have 1 life now)---->energy in the screen (increase 1 up) now you have again 2 lives.

aliens max real 9 lives:

3 start, 1up bonus during stage 2.

+ double bonus lives strategies, 3 lives for loop.

3+3+3=9 total lives.

I understand. I use this method for get extra life (from energy) but not for 6 lives, for 2 maybe and in places where leeching is impossible or low.

eh eh secret lives is not only secret in this game.... there are other incredible technique...

1 bomb = 5000 pts extra bonus in stage 1
1 bomb = 10000 pts extra bonus in stage 2

my guide is incomplete but when I finish will be 40 pages.

The problem here is that we are changing the scoring of a game which had a -to say the least- quite good scoring system.

As I said before, I think we should change the scoring system only if there are problems with it, and not just because we want it to be like most of the rest of the games (where lives don't count).

In other words, I think the original scoring of the games have priority over whatever scoring you may think of, unless it brings trouble.

Specifically for Golden Axe, I agree with Ghemant and I propose to use the HENSACHI as the score.

And beleive me, I am not pleased by the fact that I may waste a lot of time until I can finish the game without dying (because I die at least once 99% of the times) but the game's intent to award the "NO MISS" thing should be respected.

As Yoda would say: "Use the Hensachi we should"

I never noticed it, when you get this bonus? But I noticed when I kill first boss using bombs I get bonus 10k.
