As you know, there is a flaw in the game making survival much easier than I think was intended. I had not discovered it myself, and did not watch the first-place recording by BIL. (I have to use another computer to play DOS-based MAME versions.)
Scoring by level reached wouldn't help, nor would limiting lives. I think I'll stick with my standard one hour limit. I'm tempted to make it lower since I am afraid that many players would be able to play for an hour, but this is what I have used in the past in somewhat similar situations.
It's not a bad game other than that. I apologize for not seeing this coming.
From which moment is counted time? From insert coin, press start or what?
Time limit isn't good. I think every player can play 1 hour and more. Better is limit lives to 2 or 3 )or maybe 1 only). But if your decision is time limit to 1 hour then ok.
I don't know what this is. Bug or not.
If you move/press joy/cursors from player 2 on any stage (bonus stage exception) then you exit from stage without any risk!!!!!!!
I think use this "bug" must be disallowed.
For the purposes of GEGOTW, the use of the Player 2 directional controls is completely forbidden. You might want to reassign them to a key you can be sure you won't hit, even by accident.
Has to be a MAME bug. No way they produced machines with this problem.
Damn shame these little screw-ups have to ruin the game.
Probably a test port or something. Presumably, the 2P controls aren't normally used at all on an upright cabinet. ie: in a 2P game, players alternate turns on the same controls.
This doesn't happen if set to cocktail mode, however, so this port may be somewhere else (undefined by MAME) when this mode is active.
I don't know this bug is only on my PC? When I finish stage 1 and go to stage 2 stage 2 is not refresh! I don't see . and $ and patterns and colors are from stage 1. Bug is identical on wolf 95 and wolf78 (I don't check more versions wolf).
When I watch inp LN2 and next play on mame60 this bug not appear. Stage 2 is normal on mame60.
