Example:
I record inp on difficulty hardest. Next exit from game , run game (without recording), enter to dipswitches and change difficulty to easy. Now playback recorded inp (recorded on hardest difficulty), enter to dipswiches and I see:
1. in wolf78 DIFFICULTY=HARDEST (the same when I record inp. For me ok)
2. in wolf95 DIFFICULTY=EASY (not the same when I record inp. For me not ok)
Question is:
I (and not only I) can confirm scores. How I can check game settings used for recorded inp in wolf95?
In wolf78 it's simple, I enter to dipswitches only and I see settings which player used for recording inp.

It's a MAME Plus feature, that for whatever reason has disappeared since somewhere around 0.89. It is quite possible to check DIP switches by examining the binary data in the inp, but that's probably not for those who get headaches from looking at too many hexadecimal digits or from looking too much C code.

Re: wolfmame and dispswitches
this is the main reason why TG still uses 0.78 as the "official" TG version for new submissions.destructor wrote:Example:

given we have no analinp or other util to get the dipswitch settings easily from the inp, we need to be able to view them as you describe above while watching an inp.
