Strange problem on Wolfmame...

Post by INNUENDO »

Hello!!! I´m with a strange problem on my wolfmame and another versions too (alphamame and older emus).

The frameskip don´t stop changing. Recently, the frame stays on 100% after 104% after 97%, and using Frameskip 0 keeps the problem. If I pause the game, the skip keeps changing!!! I´ve tried to press F9, F10... but don´t work. I´ve reinstaled my video card, don´t work... It´s very uncommon problem (this is the first time that happen). I´ve tried change the resolution of my monitor, video card and the resolution on my wolfmame settings too.

My computer is Athlon 1700, 256 ram and video card GeForce 4 MX 400. Someone knows what could be wrong??? Thanks for the attencion.

If I understand this right, then -rdtsc ("Use RDTSC timing system", on the Miscellaneous tab in the GUI) may work.

Thanks, Barry!!! For your attencion.

Very strange... I´ve tried this now, - RTSDC but the problem continues.

Sorry for my bad english. But I really don´t know what do.

And the interesting is the only emus (Epsxe, Gens, Zsnes, Atari) or another video programs work with 100% perfect!! If this problem continues, I can´t record to marp. Because the percentage changes 97% to 104% every time. It´s the first time this happen.

Could be the operational system?? Windows XP here...

Try either -sleep or -nosleep. And try -nordtsc too, in case that was already on before.

While were at it.....why does the sound suck on 'Defender' on Wolfmame78 Plus?

Trivial I know, but I am curious.

I realise this is not a priority Barry. But all the same......

Cheers,

AL

I'd presume the sound sucks on MAME Plus 0.78 as well? Not really anything to do with WolfMAME, I can't think of anything that would affect Defender in any way.

For future reference, which worked, -sleep, -nosleep, or -nordtsc?
