Golden Era Game of the Week
See introduction here
The Game: Super Pac-Man
romname: superpac

Reward: $50 (usd)
Deadline for submission to MARP: April 1, 2005 2359 hours GMT
Further Bounty: $100 (usd) for exceeding 1,045,000 points by August 31, 2005.
Some recent controversy over this title has appeared in these threads on the TG forum:
http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1512
http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3758
http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2811
To sum up: Les Martin has supposedly scored 10 million points and can marathon the game, but the tape he submitted to TG of this feat did not show the whole screen and was removed from the scoreboard.
This leaves Rick Fothergill holding the TG record at 1,045,000 points. I'll offer the further bounty just to see a recording of that quality.
Use WolfMAME .94
And I don't need to be told how badly I suck at the title, thank you.

Note Well:
MARP is having DNS problems. Many members will have trouble accessing the site.
Try adding this line to your "hosts" file:
Windows XP and NT users will find the file here:
windows/system32/driver/etc/hosts
Windows 95/98 users will find it here:
windows/hosts
It is a file with no extension. You may open in with notepad to insert the line quoted above.
If this does not enable you to access MARP you may submit Super Pac-Man recordings by attaching them to a post here or by emailing them to me at weehawk95 at hotmail.com. Third place is currently 208k. Anything lower can wait until you are able to submit it to MARP properly.
AND EITHER WAY YOU SUBMIT IT, IT MUST BE BY MIDNIGHT GMT. NO EXCEPTIONS.

I wish I had been paying attention. I'd probably had made a run for it.
