Yes Barry, it plays back fine in MESS 0.90... at least what little I've seen of it.
One of these days I will clock and count the stages...

i did record in mess 90, but i think 2600 inps are pretty compatible across versions because the carts dont change all the time :). I used to love spider fighter because i thought it was so hard. And it doesn't appear more difficult, so i asume the difference is it's easier to hit a hotrod button faster than that old sticky atari button. Have to put the normal ponts scoring in the side competition and move the regulation competition to be a stricter rule system for spider fighter there.

Make a directory called a2600 in the directory Software, and put all roms there. Refresh and then click on the game you want to playINNUENDO wrote:Guys...
I have the emulator MESS 0.95 and the Atari 2600 roms, but I don´t know where I put them. Appears this message: "System Atari 2600 (NTSC) requires that device cartridge must have an image to load". I don´t understant this... Please, can you help me? Thanks!!!

unfortunatley if you're used to mame, mess is a little bit hard to get into, the first thing to understand that each console in mess is like a "ROM" in mame. You need the mess rom files to first emulate the console you want to play (in innuendo's case that's the atari 2600 roms that will go in the a2600 folder). Next are the games that you play in each rom/console in mess. These of course are the cartridges and they go in the software/a2600 folder. Unfortunatley you can't audit software cartridges like we can audit mame roms, so the best thing is to get the "good sets" or make good sets by using clrmame or a rom manager. A good set will ensure you have the correct name software to play with the console emulator to upload to HARP :)
