Agreed, that leeching is against rule f, and against Geneva treaty of human rights for confirmers:)
Do you think we need to play safe and write special rules as:
"No points leeching. You must allways try to advance to complete a level"
Thanks, TJT
Clearly those recordings must go. BBH's inp was more fun to watch. A game where human judgement is needed...You can see that BBH didn't leech, it was obvious.f) Point or life leeching is strongly discouraged, and banned on some games, as described in the banned techniques list, or in the specific game's special rules. You cannot continuously gain points without some degree of risk and you must keep moving to complete a level.

Thanks, yes I did try to keep moving through the game at all times. The problem is that the main "fantland" romset has no timer, at all. The "fantlnda" romset, has a strict timer (and is of course 100 times more difficult since there is no lifebar, except on bosses). It would be possible to get away with SOME leeching on there as long as you're still finishing levels... doing nothing but using all your lives on the first level just killing enemies without making any progress in the game is still a bad thing though and a no-brainer DQ.The TJT wrote: Clearly those recordings must go. So the problem with fantland is... what is the exact cutoff for judging something as being "leeching"? Obviously you need to keep making forward progress, but there are certain areas where you need to wait for platforms and such. It's difficult to pin down the exact requirements for stalling "too much" in an area for it to be considered leeching.
But I think most of us have the common sense to be good judges of what is obvious leeching :)
