To quote QRS's recent Outrun Deluxe recording...
Strange version... Gui mame 089u6 used.
If I'm not mistaken, this uses the same layout that the Sega Genesis version used...

Strange indeed... I'm not familiar with the genesis/megadrive version though. Most of the stages are not in the "correct" order and some of them are harder!!

I've played Genesis version, once. It was pretty strange with a joypad controller. Strangely playable...
