To Barry: about WolfMAME Plus

Post by MJS »

I have noticed that since version 0.83 WolfMAME has version-based filenames, but there is still one thing that doesn't let you have all versions in the same folder: MAME.ini

It would be nice if it worked like standard MAME, where the ini file has the same name as the executable file. For example, if the exe is named mamep86.exe, when you do mamep86 -cc it should create mamep86.ini instead of MAME.ini

What do you think Barry?

Didn't noticed MAME Plus it never checked <exename>.ini - I just change a definition in config.def before compiling to set the filenames (and disable Neogeo hacks too).

As for speed throttling, that's disabled during recording so that people can't "even out" their average speed. You could start with -nothrottle, not that you could switch it back to normal speed. :)

Does WolfMAME Plus 0.87 include the changes?
Because "mamep87.exe -cc" still creates MAME.ini ...
