Okay! Here is list that I know of...

Disc of Tron (same as Tron)
Forgotten World
Tac-Scan
Star Trek
Two Tigers
Warlords

Games with joystick with spinners built in (a.k.a. joystick knob).

Time Solider
Ikari Warrior (I,II,III)
Victory Road
Heavy Barrel

Game that I'm not quite sure...

Midnight Resistance

I think that BBH knows this game.

There is too many Arkanoid/Breakout clones out there...

Super Breakout
Circus
Clowns and so on......

I'm sure other will fill more details.

Try looking under at WolfMame's menu on Control Menu and it will give you a list on games on controllers type games.

It may be a little out of date...

Good Luck!

Ikari Warriors, and the likes of Midnight Resistance require what I think is known as a 'Rotary Joystick'.

Cheers,

yeah heavy barel like games are "digital" spinners, with limited number of positions around the ring.

and ahem, PUZZLOOP! :) the newest arcade game i can think of that can use an arkanoid like spinner but isn't an arkanoid like game. but it's easier to learn that game with out a spinner i think, but i'm sure higher scores can be atained with proper spinner practice.

also KICK is a game that if i remember right was controlled by a two way track ball but could be used with a spinner.

Spinner is optional with Puzz Loop. There is a game setting to use either a spinner or a joystick. Whether or not Puzz Loop 2 (not in MAME) is like this as well, I don't know.

Ikari Warriors III - The Rescue
World Wars / Bermuda Triangle (Older version)
SAR - Search and Rescue
Guerilla War

also fall under the category of 8-way rotary joystick games.

I suck at most everything that requires a spinner, but I can play the rotary joystick games pretty well by using a mouse to aim and fire. Time Soldiers is one of my favorite arcade games ever. :)

FOODF (food fight) although never was packaged with a spinner (had a analogue joystick) might be played OK with a spinner but not having one i couldn't really say if so or not. both puzzloop and kick are controlled by the spinner and 1-button. funybobl i believe does not have a spinner input mech at the moment, but might be added to the list later.

here's some more (not 100% sure if these are spinner usable but they look it)

breakout like:
avalnche
balcube
ghox
offtwalc
offtwall
peekaboo
sarukani(vblokbrk)
sflush
wiggie

--these might not be analouge enough to be used with spinners but they are breakout like:
usg185-08?
usg185-09?
usg32-bb?
usg83-bb?

2d tenis like:
ottwalls
spiker
tourtabl?

balcube - joystick
ghox - trackball (since you move the character in more than two directions)
wiggie - joystick

Oh! I forgot about Major Havoc. That game use spinner and 2 arcade buttons if I could remember, correctly.

Thanks Al! I forgot about the rotary joystick. I would've called it joystick with a knob built in.
