uhh... so how do all those PSX emulators (as well as Zinc/Impact/whatever) work then?
I've never heard of these emulators but if that's how they do it then please pardon my ignorance. Cheers :).

no question it would be difficult, though i still think doable, i'm sure it would be easier if the original writer ported the api, but that proly isn't going to happen. hopefully the core upgrade will make it better.

an emulator like epsxe+gpu plugin run those games seen in shots previous (bloody roar,tohshinden2..) at very good speed

Zinc, of course, is the only current emulator that runs the arcade versions. And once Zinc 1.0 is released, there will be no more.

MAME should run better once a dynarec MIPS R3000 core is done.

With some compiler optimisations and even a change of compiler (to VC++) plus realising that the game has an interlace option - I have gotten Bloody Roar 2 to go this fast...
