Viruses
If you list your e-mail on the marp page, be careful about viruses. It seems that some of these viruses are harvesting e-mail addresses from the marp site. Then it sends out infected e-mails to marp members with fake e-mail addresses from the other members of marp. I suggest everyone get an anti-virus program just to be safe.

It is netsky.c.
It is a worm that is propagated by either e-mail or P2P networks. It will send e-mail to people in your address book.
It is easy to remove if you get infected.

Changed my email at marp and here at forums to xxxremovethis@yyy.fi
Been getting too much virus mail in my inbox lately. Allmost opened today one coming from chad...but email subject was obviously trash, so a worm I assume.
The problem is, now I will not get topic reply notification here
and upload that beats my score notification
I don't care about latter, it's rare
...but topic notification missing gets to me.
Which one do you say this virus takes email adress from? Marp or forums?
How about TG forums...
Thanks,
TJT

On MARP you set 2 email addresses - your public address and your private address. The public address is what appears on the site, and what viruses can use, but the private address is only used to contact you. Viruses can't get at that, since it never appears on the web pages. If you remove your public address and leave the private one then you'll still get the "you've been beaten" emails, but won't be helping the viruses to find you.
