Of the recent 2 defender and 1 stargate uploads, all 3 claimed to be using 'TG settings', but none in fact used them. For both games, the TG settings are that you start with 5 lives and 5 smarts, but never get any extras, as I understand it. Certainly that's the case for stargate, anyway. Defender's not mentioned on the text file that I link to from the 'Submit' page, but it is on the http://www.twingalaxies.com site.

Twin Galaxies Settings
I've posted TG settings for Alpine Ski, Astro Blaster and Defender.

Defender is a bit of a special case, but I believe I got it figured
out now. Check out http://web.idirect.com/~cubeman/tgts.txt

The ten best mame players will all receive special certificates from
Twin Galaxies by Jan. 1, 1999. All scores must be received before
then to be considered. I have been monitoring Chris' page for
top scores (with the player's permission of course).

This should help offset all the fake scores from the video game
magazines of old
