I'm wondering what the exact difference between this one and the real one is.

Yeah, that pacman game has been around several sites.

I had played it about 6-9 months ago somewhere.

It plays quite different versus regular pacman. It's much harder as the monsters get fast quickly plus move up the T above the monster box etc. which is normal escape in the arcade version.

I forget what my high was on that the 3-4 times I played it...think was around 100k. At that point the game was tough to the point of being unfair.
