Space Duel Playback Issues?

Post by evil_angela »

I've been having serious playback issues on the game Space Duel - using various versions of MAME. I've tried WolfMAME 73/75/76, along with MAME 62, and all of them run into the same issue. Even if I use all of the same settings (-rdtsc -noafs -nvram_director NUL) for the game, not a single recording will playback the same. All of the randomization is off. I can't even seem to get it to playback to the same score consistently.

Any ideas as to why I might be having this problem? Can anyone else get recordings for this game to playback properly?

Asteroids , space duel , battle zone , any of the atari vector games.
They will work with m.a.m.e. 37 beta 16 or older. Might need to delete nvram.
Do a search of any game and see what everyone else uses.

spacduel appears only to playback for me if recorded and played back with the -nosound option.

The attached inp should play back to 26240 (I think) with -nosound

That seemed to do it! Frameskip wasn't even an issue with -nosound on. I'll have to remember to try that in future games I have issues with.
