Pat,
Anyway you could UNARCHIVE those games, for those who would use Wolfmame 73 or so to record with? I can understand if they're never going to be in ever again... but then again you do have final say.. and they will come back in 2004..

You can still submit recordings for those games.

finalp3j isn't worth keeping at all, the game doesn't work and the set was identical to one of the others but with different filenames.

Why was the the 2001-> games removed from mame? I know of the 2 year 'rule' but was it some special kind of copyright problems from the big guys this time maybe? I don´t miss those games at all but I´m very curious why they were removed, and even more curious why they were added in the first place \:D/

The copyright limit has been increased by three *effective* years.

Ok. Still it sounds like someone has been complaining about a copyright issue or something like that. Earlier it was a 2 year rule, but still games from 2002 was supported :) Why the strict rules all of a sudden?

Doesn't bangj(adv-exp-beg) and hangly3(fast) need some splits ?

Bang was "de-splitted" as QT pointed out that levels were mostly the same...

well, there is a second macmame project that is 'unofficial' that is more or less a direct port of xmame and is kept more current than the official macmame.

it's at 0.73 right now....will have to check if 0.74 is out and if fixes have been made to issues in older versions of that unofficial macmame....although it was fine for most things...just screenshots and marquees etc. type stuff wasn't working.
