Changes/Modifications to MARP links/games

these items have been posted to the 'Regulation Play' forum but have not received attention/response.


1. Bang! currently has three splits based on difficulty. The same mini-games are played throughout; the advanced level is more difficult and longer (20 stages) than the beginner level (16 stages), the expert level more so than both (24 stages).

Consequently, if you look at the scores, bang-beg is about 10k lower than bang-adv, which is about 20k lower than bang-exp.

Unless I'm missing something, this game should not be split, according to splitting policy. There are no changes in gameplay, and the best player will score highest on the hardest level (ie: you play longer, you score higher). Would Pat or one of the other Editors please recombine them and allow player's choice when recording?



2.the clone of... link on the left side that is supposed to lead to a search for 'block' leads instead to a search for 'block-50, block-8'

50 and 8 were the old splits which were eliminated. the link just hasn't been updated.



3.There is no entry for 'hydrap2', although this game has been around for a while and MARP recognizes it as a valid search item (it also shows up in the links). I tried submitting to this game and I got an 'invalid' response.


incidentally, who is maintaining the yearly totals logs on confirming at MARP? none of these have been updated in years.

I can't recall why the splits were made, but if gameplay is the same then I'll go ahead and back out the split.

I mentioned item #2 to Zwaxy last month, but I guess he hasn't done anything about it. Made a post on the editor's forum.

Also, someone mentioned games listed under 1st (& perhaps Top3) have not been updated since July 17th!!

Zwaxy, where are you?????
