Gamest High Score for Puckman?

Post by MikeM »

I was just curious as to what the top Gamest/Arcadia score for Puckman is.

So far I have not heard reports of anyone reporting a perfect game to Gamest, but I'm sure there are some 3 million+ scores.

Anybody have this info? Thanks.

Gamest didn't exist back then, and it pretty much only covers games in it's lifespan (1986-1999?). Not that I would ever doubt that there aren't japanese players that can get the maximum score on Puckman.

I thought that I remembered Hisa posting something on this a while back, that there was a Japanese Puckman record, but that it was not a perfect score.

It would be nice to know if anyone got a perfect score on Puckman in Japan.

It would have definitely have been accomplished in just the past few years though...cuz Billy Mitchell's perfect run here in the USA was definitely the first official one. He ended up going to Japan at the expense of Namco and got gamer of the century.

I would think if anyone had gotten perfect score on Puckman prior to 1999 that Namco would have known about it....so I'm guessing no one had.

I'm sure if they did and had a tape of it that TG would recognize it as well.
