I've asked about this in the past on other boards... maybe someone here will know what it is...

Its a side and vertical scrolling shoot-em-up from about 1987/88 - might be 99, but that's a bit late ..

Had 5 (maybe 6 at the most) levels and one of them (2nd, 3rd or 4th) was a subterranean thing, side scrolling with volcanos that had nice flowing lava along the bottom of the screen.

It could have been in Japanese (i'm not too sure tho on that) and if you got all your power-ups and such on the first level you had an almmost free ride to finishing the game (it became almost impossible to die)

I dont remember any of the eol bosses, but i'm sure it had them.

It's not any of the obvious ones (ie r-type et al) but i dont think it's in mame, .. but i love the game and wondered if anyone could shed some light/provide a screenshot

If the info in mame is right then it cant be that, as it was made in 1990... i wouldve no longer going to the arcade where i played it then....

I thin k it was terra force... it looks kinda familiar anyway
