Special Rules for Snake Pit

Post by Weehawk »

I notice that a Special Rule was added for Snake Pit on July 10.

I saw the pre-poll discussion in this forum, but never saw a vote.

Is a vote necessary, if so "where" was it held?

The special rule has nothing to do with the pre-poll discussion. The poll Chad wanted/wants to start would be about whether all Inps suffering from the .63 problem should be zeroed or what else should be done with them.

This special rule is necessary to ensure that everybody can play back the recordings.

So I take it a Special Rule doesn't require any sort of vote.

Just curious.

Thanks,

Depends, not in this case. There's a problem and it can be solved by using .62 or earlier. There's no need for a vote.

i'm not sure i agree with this solution.

a) we don't know how long it will be until this problem is fixed.

b) whoever records first on a game and discovers the replay problem cannot be touched if the game was released later than .62, since there are no rles inplace for said game yet.

c) there was no vote on this decision

d) using older versions goes AGAINST driver progress in the games

i'm not saying i'm completely opposed to this solution, i just think that the logistics haven't fully been worked out here...
