Magical Drop 2 (puzzle mode)

A number of recordings were incorrectly submitted to magdrop2-pm. This is nobody's fault, really, because the game is a victim of an Engrish translation.

Magical Drop 2's default dip switch setting is Europe, where the two games listed are Puzzle Mode and Challenge Mode.

This is incorrect.

The actual original version of this game, with the territory as Japan, has three variations of Magical Drop: Puzzle Mode, Challenge Mode, and Survival Mode.

Survival Mode was translated into english as Puzzle Mode. Challenge Mode stayed the same. The real puzzle mode is unavailable in English.

Consequently, when recording on Puzzle Mode (Europe settings), you should submit to magdrop2-sm (Survival Mode). If you play Magical Drop 3 at all, you will notice that the games are named correctly--mainly because Puzzle Mode has been removed and Magical Journey has been added. After you've played puzzle mode, you'll notice that it's a far different game than either challenge or survival modes.

I have requested that Phil Lamat change the rules link to reflect this.

Hopefully this clears everything up. Scores incorrectly submitted to magdrop2-pm have been moved to magdrop2-sm. Watch those .inps if you really want to learn how to play the game.
