Paddles...

Post by Pika163 »

I've heard all the arguments about Arkanoid-style games being played better with a paddle. (And I agree, it would be much easier.) My question is, though, is can you buy a paddle for your PC? I've only seen joysticks and the like (HotRod, X-Arcade, OzStick, etc.) Thanks!

Short answer: yes.

I'm sure QRS will be able to give more details on where to get spinners. :)

Here is the best place to get yourself a spinner:

http://www.oscarcontrols.com/

They deliver fast, have good products and are honest! :=)

Just remember to go for a large encoder wheel. Otherwise you will not get the correct spinner 'feeling' so to speak. Just read everything you can on that site and I´m sure you will find something you like!

Cheers

I got mine from OzStick - http://home.iprimus.com.au/ozstick/

Quick delivery and friendly emails confirming my order and following up to make sure it arrived safely. Although it comes as a basic spinner and you have to mount it yourself (in my case in an old shoebox  ) it works a treat and is great for Arkanoid, 720 etc.
