Guys, just one problem! I´ll record some inps on this weekend, but now the rule is to use the ALPHAMAME! I often played using another emulators, and I want to know this!
I want to record 9.999.900 on Jail Break. But this game is too long and I need to pause this game and use F10 key to accelerate the game when is looped. Is annoying and terrible play without pause for almost 6:30 without stop!!! So, if I use the emulator MAME .60 I will lose the points, the leaderboard points and etc? I need to know this.

yes you can't do those. using pause and F10 are nearly impossible (because they are disabled (and detected) with alphamame) but you can still upload your non alphamame score as long as that score reported is less than anyone else who uploads with alphamame (in other words you will lose leaderboard points with out alphamame). So either lose leaderboard points and use F10+pause, or play like the arcade and get 100 :) Does that make sense?
be assured that your existing leader board scores (recorded before 3/3/2003) are safe. But new regular mame upload scores can be blocked.

MARP has the ideal that games should be played in mame as close as possible to how they would be played in arcades.
You wouldn't be able to pause the game in the arcade would you?
Yes, it's a challenge to endure 6.5 hours. It depends on the game....games where you can build up extra men, you can just "leave" for that quick bathroom break or get a drink/food etc. for 5 minutes and just let your men die off during that 5 minutes. For those certain games from building up so many men your game will still be going when you return to continue play.
That kind of "pause" is legal...
if in a game like pacman you can put pacman where the monsters won't find him so you take a 5-10 minute break....that's fine...cuz you could do that in the arcade also.
There are scores for some games though where you really wonder how the person did it. They must have had supporting people and some bucket/bag setup for going to the bathroom right at the machine or something.
6.5 hours isn't all that long though. I have done that and longer with some games in mame without any pause or break. I just plan ahead and go to bathroom and eat just before playing...and don't drink a lot before playing....but drink sips here and there while playing.

Ok, LN2, I agree with you too... But I don´t have the same patience like years before... Jail Break is a looonger game. I receive too much calls at Saturday´s morning and I need to pause... This will be my last work on Jail Break.
Ohh Hunter... it´s sadly. Marcus told me about the robber. I´ll call for you later. What´s happen with my CD?? When you come here on Saturday night, can you bring it for me?? here this cd works fine....

That's why we have answering machines.
Don't you ever leave the house for 6+ hours at a time where you aren't answering phone calls etc.?
Just think of it that same way when you sit down to play a mame game for 6+ hours straight.
Turn off the phone ringer and just check your messages after you are done.
Have a big glass and perhaps even a 2-liter handy for refilling and some cookies/crackers etc. handy so you don't need to stop to eat. A little snack will do wonders and allow you to go 6+ hours easily between any full meals.
Bathroom breaks are then the only remaining problem...as I said just don't drink anything for a few hours before play...then just drink a little here and there as you play. By the time you have to go again 6+ hours should have passed.
