Should this infinite leeching technique in naughty boy and it's clones be allowed?

naughtyb-infinite leeching technique

Post by LN2 »

This is for naughtyb and it's 2 clones also, naughtya and naughtyc.

naughtyb-infinite leech. Tech-D.jp's is the player that does this.

There is a setup you can do on the first stage where you can leech points forever without much skill involved. It's very similar to the pooyans trick in the other thread except in this game you can even set it up on stage 1. This player stopped at 3 million and was still on stage 1 with no intentions of even completing that 1 stage.

To give you an idea, I have never played the game prior to watching this and after watching it proceeded to do a game on first attempt and stopped at 2 million. It requires very little skill to setup and virtually no skill to maintain.

The description for these scores by Tech-D.jp even state they are banned techniques elsewhere...yet he uploaded here at MARP I guess cuz MARP allows anything until banned.

The game was played in macmame so not sure if the inp will playback for any of you on PCs. I have a screenshot of the setup on stage 1 for naughtyb
HERE
.
From that spot you just keep shooting down and the monsters just stay down in that lower area. The way he shot all of the edge of each fence away there except the middle ends is what keeps the monsters from coming up at you...cuz they ricochet off that end fence post.

He got that setup with only a score of like 2000 then just sat there and fired at the poor monsters to leech 3 million.

The scores he entered for these don't even match the real scores. He just entered 1, 2, and 3 million for the 3 clones. He had a little bit more for each. As his descriptions state i think he was just uploading those as a sample and nothing more...so really should be on the tricks page instead of record scores.

Once in a blue moon 1 monster happens to come up there...which you normally can easily shoot or just go through that hourglass side door to the other side to avoid then easily shoot him as the monster approaches you again. The monster can't follow you through that hourglass sidedoor.

Scores for this game are absolutely pointless where the game should be archived if this technique is allowed..cuz it's just how long do you choose to stay there and fire at them. I have not watched the other naughtyb inps to see if they do a similar thing or if they got their high scores actually playing the game. If the other multimillion scores for this game also use this cheap leeching technique and this technique is disallowed then those will have to be zeroed out also.

Barry, then how come there are no special rules for these naughty boy games listed? Given it was already banned in the past this poll is pretty much defunct now. Is there a minimal #votes that are needed for a poll to stick? I see that was only 5 votes in that poll result...which isn't very many.

I have noticed other recent poll results that changed things the special rules for these other games also haven't been updated.

For example, the Cameltry poll finished 2-3 weeks ago now yet the special rules for this game haven't been updated.

Looks like this poll passes also. Let's get that special rule/banned technique added and zero out the above mentioned scores.
