STEALERS
DEFCON=4
CASE 1
It seemed
http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/ttttt_ra ... o37b15.zip
is very good score, but very unfortunately it is already set at
http://www.ah.wakwak.com/~pachipro/per/ ... eplay.html
for 2 years.
and more unfortunately, the owner of this page already join to MARP.
Pu-.jp (and mentioned at slowdown at his page.)
I want to know both recording is same or not.
size is not same, date is not same. but play /score are exactly same.

It's possible...which people would put what mame they use when they select any "other" from that list.
I'll try it on my mac a bit later and see if it plays back.
Novice, is there an inp of this play at the other scoreboard you gave a link to that has that same score somewhere?
I can't really view a Japanese site so can't easily tell what is what even.
If so...give the link for that inp also....if the first is a macmame inp and the other not...then you actually haven't been able to watch both to tell if same or not.

Well, I don't think it's a macmame inp. I tried playing the inp and I get a "coin detection error" at the very start of it.
However, I also noticed this is shown to be for version 0.37b15.
There wasn't a 0.37b15 version of macmame. We went from b14 directly to b16. I attempted to play this back in b16.
Add those 2 together doesn't make sense it would be macmame.
Good luck trying to view it to see if really the same play.
I downloaded that other inp link given by QRS above. This zip archive includes a final screenshot and a readme that clearly states it was played with mame 0.37b15.
...not even sure the final score really is 13372220 anyway. the final screenshot shows 10372220 as the score with a final completion bonus of 3000000 shown....don't know if that was already added to that 10 mil or not. Even that zip I wonder why the player doesn't show screenshot of the final high score list for the game. For those inps are initials added for the high score at the end?
Seems like you guys are all over it anyway.

there was a m37b15, it was the first CLI win32 version, but i don't think it was recorded with that one, at least i can only get the two player multiple credit continue way to playback... wont edit untill i know it can't playback (i.e. someone else tells me they can play it back ok or not) or Pu.jp comes forward saying it is NOT them that uploaded it.

Re: STEALERS
It's not the first time tttt make strange things. 2 months ago he make a great score at Parodius Da (over 800 k, hard settings) and remove it with no reason few days later. I found its a very strange attitude, and now that one...

of course that wouldn't be legal...unless it was actually your own score also at that other score site. There isn't anything saying you can't submit a score you accomplished at more than one site.
That doesn't seem to be the case here though because otherwise the 2 inp files would be identical in size. They aren't which leads to no other conclusion than someone hacked up the original inp to try and claim that score as their own.

um, you mean it CANT lead to that conclusion, i've also checked the inp files binarily for movement differences and they are different from the start, so they are completely different recordings that use the same technique. Now that i have both i will do more research later (i.e. see what the autofire detections says..) obviously if the marp one uses autofire its gone, but we can't delete it because it's the same as the one on the j site.LN2 wrote:That doesn't seem to be the case here though because otherwise the 2 inp files would be identical in size. chad, I was just continuing with Novice's hypothetical...
I was going to suggest the 2 files need to really be compared to see if any huge sections are common between the 2 files. It seems you have already done this to an extent.
However, why would they enter a wrong score for it then?
I had watched the one but not the other...didn't have link for it then.
This might be one where you need to write down the score after each stage from both games and see if they match up throughout....and also watch them back to back or side to side if you have 2 computers to see just how similar they are.
