WARP (warp) n. 1.) To twist or deflect from a plane, 2. To deflect from a course.

Simply put, making the ball go outside the course. THAT is "warping."

This is a course and where the ball usually is.

Another issue would be which is the maximum allowable sensitivity for Cameltry? (Not only sensitivity but "Joy/Key Speed" as well). The default values for each are 100% and 20, respectively.

I don't think you could have any restriction on the sensitivity used in the game...whatever mame allows there has to be allowed. However, it definitely shouldn't be allowed to be changed during a game.

Let's save those separate discussions for other threads though. If you want to discuss that specific thing let's start a new thread on it. This poll for Cameltry isn't about changing sensitivity during play. It's not about bumper leeching. It's only about the "warp trick".

Novice, in short, if you don't like the use of the word "warp" for that trick I clearly stated it's when you rotate the maze so quickly the ball is allowed to go into and through the walls/barriers in the course. Call it whatever you want, that's what we are talking about with that "warp" trick. the display of the maze and where the ball is does "warp" it's location within the maze though. It isn't a nice smooth motion.

So if you vote yes to this poll, that means you approve of setting the sensitivity really high and make your ball go into and through parts of the mazes...avoiding playing most of the actual game for some worlds.

If you vote no, it means you would rather play the game by it's rules and the way it's supposed to be played versus exploiting an issue in the code that allows you to move the maze faster than the designers had planned on which allows the ball to go into and through walls.

I hope that clears it up for anyone not sure what the polls question above is for. Watch Novice's inp for cameltry-spc to see an example of going through some walls..although he only does it for the first couple of worlds in the course, you can continue to do this just about anywhere in the mazes you want. Play the game normally or watch QRS's cameltry-spc not going through any walls to see how the game is played with skill. then from that decide which way you think the game should be played.

It only matters cuz going through the walls allows you to get much higher scores than you can get without going into and through walls....thus this decides how the game will really be played to get high scores.

Novice, if you want to keep discussing Cameltry and being so nitpicky please do it in the big Cameltry discussion thread. This thread is for the poll. You are just trying to confuse others that might see this thread.

Maybe not, but it'll ban any attempts to move the ball anywhere outside that course, or though any walls. If the "sweet spots" you refer to are like those in stage 2, where you squeeze in between the tiny space between the bumper and the wall, then yes, that'll be banned as well. The little nooks and crannies which seperate bumpers/walls/etc from the rest of the playing field can't be classified as being part of the set course, since there's no way you can get there without going through the wall. So maybe the correct definition would be "going through the wall will be banned". But if "penetrating the sweet spot" means something else (besides the obvious ) please shed some light on it...argh. Carrying on an argument with you is exhausting.

So what you're saying is that if going beyond the course is banned, then slipping in between the cracks of a bumper should be allowed because it falls in the same category of the prior poll results [bumper leeching is allowed aslongas you finish the course]? That would make sense, however it's the technique that allows you to get to that spot that is under question. The leeching itself is as legal as pressing Start.

The only rage that present stems from some of your comments. When you're pissed off at the topic, you talk to a specific person (or sometimes all MARPers) like they're nothing just to end it. It's that reason why you have so many so-called enemies, no one in their right mind would respect someone with that kind of abuse for nothing. I can't believe the results of this poll so far...although my screwed up mistake vote is likely going to blow the results of this poll given 66% (!@?!?!) needed.

I find it hard to believe in that vote for alphamame preferences for high scores that is overwhelmingly being approved to avoid cheating etc. yet those same players then vote to allow cheating within the gameplay.

If you really want to just cheat and play the games however you want why would you care about alphamame so much then? That's not consistent at all guys. I think as with the Outrun results something is suspicious here. Are all the JP players from Gamest that have accounts here just showing up and voting to approve it cuz they want MARP to just be like Gamest is with an anything goes policy?

It also disappoints me cuz I felt MARP had some real gamers. Oh well.

Skyline, of course but from the other discussions etc. I didn't expect to see more than 2-3 votes approving of the trick over the whole week.

I figured it would follow what the alphamame vote would be..but isn't even close to being like that.

I'll chill though and not talk about it the rest of the entire week and let the voting happen. I am frustrated I screwed up with my vote though. I'm sure Novice laughed his ass off over that. I was thinking with the rephrasing of the poll question the vote would have to start over anyway...it didn't.

I still request Novice, or a MARP editor, please edit and remove that lame asinine comment in the description field for Novice's 2.2 million score.

...also address the fact he did change sensitivity during the game...where it seems this inp at least should be zeroed out because of that...even if this trick is approved or not that inp still has that issue.

You're right, but as Rick I suspect also something is wrong.

I've two question vor validation on a vote :

1. It's possible for one man who have several account to vote several times ? I hope no.
