What's happened? When I try to log on to #marp on irc.lazynet.org it comes up with "This is a TEST server! - Don't expect it to work all the time :)" and there's no one in the #marp channel. What's going on? Seymour?

Well I'm in it now, no problems. How many times have you tried?

I have had that a few times, after a long time I got on and found everyone!

I knew it was working as it asked for my pass...

I got that too. I just used a different server. Try saigon.tx.us.lazynet.org.

Barry, am I a confirmer now?

On this visit to the site all unconfirmed scores show a "confirm" link under it. I also accidentally clicked SJK's Camel Try(camltrua-beg) uploaded score from today and it resulted in confirming his score. Sorry. I can officially confirm it in VirtualPC on my mac later if necessary so the confirmation is real.

However, I wanted to know if I am a confirmer now or if this is something wrong with the site.

Is I am a confirmer is there a page for confirmation guidelines etc.?

That does sound like you are, I don't think there's any confirmer guidebook, the only really thing to know is if it playsback you should confirm it. If there's a problem with the scores or there's a recording no following the rules tell the editors; you can still confirm the score even if it leeches to high heaven, we can decide later if it breaks the rules or is ok. If it doesn't playback, take it to the forum.

When I became a confirmer QT told me that I should not use Getright.. cause it could be like I confirmed a lot of scores when I pressed one confirm link. I have never tried it or heard that it has happened to anyone, but I just thought I would say it :)

i've used getright ever since i've been at marp and never had a multiple confirm (not caused by my own double clicking that is :) But it is possible i think if you open up getright browser and try to download everything on a page (something not easy to do with a coulple clicks), but that can happen with any recursive html tool.

well, I would only be confirming macmame submitted scores.

still without someone to confirm my scores.
Maybe one of these other macmame multiple game score submits I'll be confirming can also become a confirmer.

So when I see additions in the description for a submission that's always an editor that has added that?

k, so I can confirm.
Anything else beyond that should be presented to the editors.

ok, is there an e-mail address for that or do I just select any particular editor and just e-mail them if/when any issues?

sorry for the 20 questions...was why I asked if some guidelines page or info page with all of this info.

Since I'm on a mac I don't have that util to assist me anyway so I won't run into problems there. I'll be doing it the manual way..using search here to search for macmame unconfirmed scores to view and confirm.

ln2 you can still confirm non mac scores if they playback with a mac. and there isnt one email adddress, the editors emails are on the staff page, but i would just recommend posting to the Regulation forum about a problem with cheating or the rules, then everyone gets a chance to contribute, even the acused.

k...

There are plenty of macmame ones to keep me busy a while though. Those will be my priority...after that then might do some PC ones if for games I already know the inp is cross-platform compatible and if done with version 60 or earlier since version 60 is still most current release for mac.

Version 0.65 is being worked on but no dates of when that might be released as the guy doing it is also busy with other projects he gets paid for...unlike macmame.
