Loses sync on stage 1, gets to 74,300 on MAME 0.62 Win32 console, with fskip 0. Disabling joystick as suggested doesn't help. Anyone tried MAME32?

I get the same score with mame32 but something really strange happened with cli mame that would imply an RTC issue, but i can't make it happen again. The FIRST time i commented out the ctrlr line in mame.ini it played back to 192k something, not the advertised score but certainly better than 73k. The next time i ran my playback script removing nvram/cfg just like the last time, it playedback to 74300 again. I'd say NO playback here, once is not enough.
wrx: can you give us any more control options in your mame32 tab? there are some games that are ctrlr dependent on playback.

I only disable use joystick because not work when I record this game,Chad wrote:wrx: can you give us any more control options in your mame32 tab? there are some games that are ctrlr dependent on playback.
in mame32 tab I haven't change anything, button 1 is left Ctrl, button 2 is left Alt,up,down, left, right button are use arrow under "delete, end, page down" these buttons........not "Num Lock" side......
and all setting are default....
anyway...now I playback this game sometime have 182k,
or sometime only have 70k arround,I don't think so ????
I don't see any evidence that this system has any RTC in the driver. Especially when other games on this hardware (Namco NA-1) playback fine.
What I have noticed though, it that at times the screen flashes when enemies are destroyed, but it certainly doesn't happen all the time. Perhaps this could be what is causing the desyncs, or is it actually supposed to be like that?

I recommend auto-frameskip never be used for recordings..even if the game plays at 60fps easily so frameskip would automatically be 0. All it takes for some games is a split-sec or hesitation...maybe your OS was doing something for a second or your game has a really big inp file so you get a little split-sec hiccup while it saves another chunk of input that results in desyncing on playback. If you need some frameskipping just manually set frameskip to some value so the game always plays at 100% for you.
