Sampras's recording is edited by Barry. Apparently Sampras claimed 7100 and Barry changed it to 7000. When I play it back I get 7400 no matter what settings I use.
WHAT FUCK?!? I tried it when I got home and got the advertised 7100. I changed no settings and got 6800. Weird! I can't get this one to playback consistantly under constant settings.
i'd enjoy zereoing games that can't reliably be played back because they create too much confusion than they are worth, but there really isn't a rule for this.
Honestly, I think it's because the ROM is broke... I play it, and I instantly die at the last screen every time. Some people have been able to pass it, but I haven't had such luck.
Try -fs 0, other than that it plays back nicely with/without sound, throttle and cfg files.
He gets to the last screen on his first man and dies immediately with a score of 6800. Then he jumps a couple of pirates and dies again. Then he goes for the girl and lands in the kettle.

Maybe this one must be recorded and played back with -fs 0.
