I guess it doesn't help that LeClaqueurFou wasn't sure on what his score was, so we don't know what it plays back to... no offense to LCF, but a score of 4.5 million by someone playing the game on their first try is very, very, VERY unlikely.

Aaaanyways, using mame32-59 I can't get playback to go past the first boss. Using different samplerates has given me slightly different scores each time, as well as turning sound off.

Barry said he got it to go to Stage 2 using the CLI version of mame59, but it still looked like it desynced.

If it's anything to go by, I got around 520k on my third try, getting up to the spider-kitty (3rd boss) and very, nearly beating it. I used the same character that LCF does (I wonder why...?;))

Well, that thing that confused me at first, most likely with him also, was there is a little graphic that has no part in your score after like the first 3 digits or something. :)

I'm guessing, but I think that symbol just means "ten thousand", and all you have to do is pretty much ignore it.

:P At first, I was like "nooo way, I got like half the high score on my first try", then I realized that it was only 500K or so. Keeping that combo is hard.
