are you saying it's missing from the database, or should be archived because the parent doesn't work?

there are lots of games where the parent sets don't work..

AFAIK, it's missing from the database.

Both tx1 & tx1a are in the database. Click on "1st" or "Top3" to see yourself...

If no one can play them and submit a score, there is no need to archive.

OK, noted. However, I read that if you are in first place, you have to use WolfMAME .106? I'm not sure if I read that correctly, but TX-1 doesn't work with that version. I think you need .130 or higher. I know it works with .131 though.

You must use WolfMAME to take 1st place at MARP.

You must use WolfMAME .106 if you want to submit your score to TG.

ANY wolfmame is good to take 1st place for Marp, this is rule 3b :

So yes, you can use wolf130 or higher here

Is there a GUI version for Windows? If so, I'll download it right away.

Also, I have a screencap for TX-1, since we don't have one on file. Is there a place I can submit it?

Use M+GUI. It's basically the MAME Plus GUI as a standalone product, written using Qt.

Works with MAME/MESS (Win32), or SDLMAME/SDLMESS (Win32,Linux,OS X)

PM me it.

I've got a picture just not uploaded yet (from your previous recording, i think with the Eiffel tower and 3 cars in a turn), if yours shows more action in one shot then i'll use it.

M+GUI should work fine with 0.131.

Unfortunately, that link didn't work. Any other place I can get M+GUI?

You can get it from one of the MAME Plus mirrors. Try http://mameicons.free.fr/mame32p/

Just an easy question: is there any special reason for which "Poker Ladies" (and clones) hasn't been archived together with other gambling games?
I tried to play many hands of this game, but never saw that skill is rewarded in any way. Btw, the game often teases the player proposing interesting projects (4 cards on 5) like straights, flushes, straight flushes and royal flushes... to make him change obviously one only card and then catch him with the damned "uuu loooooose". Only very few times the player can get the expected score. Besides in the most of hands, if u try to change all the 5 cards in order to see if another choice (based only on luck) instead of the most obvious one would have better rewarded u, u'll realize often that u would have lost the hand anyway (mostly matching some couple worse than JJ)...

There are too many to archive on an individual basis. In the near future, the hope at MARP is to group by genre and either have them not count towards leaderboard points or simply archive.
