Indeed I've never said that shoesama didn't deserved to pass the round. At the end he played better than me so he deserved to pass the turn. But in my eyes, the psw thing was a way to humiliate his opponent, and that isn't really into fair play league, but whatever, I don't care at all.

My motivation in a tourney is simple, having even a slight chance of winning, I don't hide it. It's just my way of thinking about it, so it can or can't be agreeable. Being the second or the third of the losers doesn't change my day.

Finally, at the end of the day I didn't liked what BBH have behaved and expressed my disappointment, but I accept his decision. Even if me or others doesn't agree at all doesn't mean he can't do whatever he wants.

lol that was me trying to hide my inp
My internet really does go down (it went down for days in chikij, pbobbl2j, and pipedrmj), so I had to submit something earlier just in case.

I managed to set it up in a way where I would actually increase my chances of winning from revealing it though.

You could have submitted it anywhere but here, from a public site (Megaupload, Rapidshare etc.) to a private fellow.
And again no, if you were going to reveal your psw after the deadline that doesn't count for obvious reasons.

The people I had in mind weren't going to be online at the right time, so I had to go to plan B.

It worked out though, and I even got information from you on whether or not you were playing the game.

This is written in the first post:
Result of the final challenge:
1. - LAWLZSHOOTERGAMES pts.: 321.700
2. - BBH pts.: 0.000.000

Result for the final for third place:
3. - RedStar pts.: 0.000.000
3. - Kale pts.: 0.000.000

But since no one submitted anything to the main site (Not the forum!), there´s technically no winner of K8??

8. Final time before which a recording must be submitted to MARP is 19:59 GMT on the corresponding day. If MARP is down for an extended period of time, we will accept submissions via forum attachments on the thread for that week's game. Please do not submit recordings to the forum if MARP is not down.

I dont think MARP was down for an extended period of time during that week?
Anyone?

I'm guessing they don't want to announce the results because it might just cause more drama.
Or at least, that's the best reason/excuse I can come up with if I was in their position.

edit: also elections are going on right now, so they don't want to alienate their supporters

Why were no scores submitted to the main site, ost people here know that that is the only way to submit unless the site is down? Slackness?

Pipe Dream is not a game that anyone can just pick up and play. (or at least Course C, don't know about the other courses)

You need hours of preparation to get anything worth submitting.

You'll get stuck with <200k if you try to bruteforce your way through it.

Anyway, congrats to the winner! =D>
I'm sure it was a deserved one looking at the scores on earlier rounds.

Is "LAWLZSHOOTERGAMES" same as "Shoesama" in this forum? Where is he from?

The organizers were very disappointed by the end of the K8.
So serious and important a tournament deserved a better ending.
There is nothing to celebrate, it's your choice the final choice (Shoesama, inp with a very small or no winner due to the withdrawal of all).
For next year we will try to put the rules to avoid problems of this issue.
Congratulations to all participants who have behaved in a sport.
See you at K9, a goodbye to everyone.

For what's it worth, the final 4 players all seem to have agreed that Pipe Dream was a bad game for the finals, so... take that as you will.
