Free Willy

Somewhere for the annoying and/or off-topic threads to go. Feel free to post about whatever, but abuse will still be dealt with, and possibly with more force. Especially pac-porno. ;)

Channelhopping yesterday, all they showed at BBC world was the Thames whale, for several hours, huh! Don't they have anything more important to show, or is it just me...

I somehow doubt that whales travel up the Thames river all the time. Certainly not something I've heard of before.

Still showing it Tommi....

It's not so much a 'slow news day', just a nice handy cuddly story to deflect attention from what's really going on in the world. That's kinda why I stopped watching mainstream media ages ago, with the exception of getting the football results.

In other news, booking tickets for the 2006 World Snooker Championship at the Crucible next week! Yaaay!!

Yes, "slow news day" was the phrase I was looking for.
How to break this...The whale has now died while rescuing :(

I envy you!
Looking forward to Higgins-Sullivan Masters final tomorrow. Higgins wins 10-7, I'm psychic :)

Yes, Higgins does seem to be in better touch.

I met Ronnie O'Sullivan, Jimmy White and bizzarely enough, Ronnie Woods (Rolling Stones) two weeks ago at a snooker exhibition. Good sports all.
Poor Mr.Woods was a little worse for wear. He was the 'special guest' player for one frame. He couldn't even open his snooker cue case.Quite funny actually. Jimmy White had to open it for him. Needless to say, that single frame lasted a rather long time cos he couldn't see straight, let alone pot a ball.......

Oh yeah, heard about the whale. Poor sod.

Cheers,

Higgins "eased" to the victory with final black. Talk about handling nerves at last clearance, a classic. :D
