Reward: $25 (usd)

Deadline for submission to MARP: October 7, 2005 2359 hours GMT

Further Bounty: none

Who's up for a little one-on-one?

Okay, this game is actually from 1985 and I personally felt that the Golden Era ended in 1984, but KLOV had it listed as 1983 and I looked at it and sort of liked it. When I saw the error, I thought about switching it with Konami's Super Basketball from 1984, but I didn't like it nearly as well.

I would like to see what our competitors can do on this one, so we'll make our first (and probably last) tiny exception for these challenges.

Scoring, as with MARP regulation play will be point difference. Your score minus the computer's.

Heh, what if two or more players will do identical scores? Each win 25USD and 10points?

Damn, I thought I put that in the announcement.

Ties will be broken by earlier submission.

Results:
1st: destructor@HotTeam.pl 30
2nd: Don Hayes 22
3rd: Phil Lamat 14

destructor takes 1st and six bonus for a total of 16.

And yes, 160 points in the lead with 9 weeks to go, he has clinched first place for the year.

And des...uh...if anything should happen to you (considering no one has heard from last year's champ, Ian Sutton, this year) it was nice knowing you.

This is the reason to me prefer to be the last placed in GEGOTW ;)
Fortunately you are one of the last placed players too, Martin :)

Welll... at least Robert Mruczek don't use anthrax in the DECA 2005 prizes... Martin Bedard is still alive! lol

I haven't actually gotten it yet, I'll get it in person next month at Funspot. He doesn't have the guts to take me out in public ;). I do sleep in his Cabin though... Kelly better watch my back, I'm his ride home  .

I get wacky at this hour.

Oh, yes. Good. I'm the winner GEGOTW 2005  I will fight until last week.

And, Knockout coordinators: I'm ready for Knockout. I think good if in Knockout 2005 will be BBH, Don and The_Pro.
Otherwise TRB will be for 100% :D

I'd hope more classic games in knockout. Or atleast careful selection of challenging, fast, original games that you can play whole week and still hunger for more.

I hope to participate... 99% sure!

OMG... I hope NO ONE classic game in this championship. Where are the competitions in games different than classic (or "old school" games)???
A lot of classics in GEGOTW. A lot of classics in DECA 2005. And the same in Robert's Bounty. Ouch!
T9 was well-balanced (or at least with a few "very old" games), and the WCCs had a good selection of the games, in the most part.

Yes... this is the key. The selection of the games of one championship is around 75% of the success of the competition, imo.
