Oh yeah...Sunday's bonus points to Don.

Don't overlook the previous post about scoring.

I have problems with control this game using spinner or mouse. When I fast move spinner/mouse then kickman move in other direction than I want. On version 33 mame I don't have this problem, I can fast move what I want.
I can't use pad for this game, kick man move only in one direction. I get left on pad - kickman move to left, I get right - kickman move to left.

And as always:
What controller you use Don?

I used the keyboard.

This sounds like the same problem I was having at first. I originally tried to play using a mouse and I had changed the analog sensitivity up higher to try and get faster response (I went from the default of 3% to 20% and then back down to 14%, I think). Since the mouse still wasn't working well for me, I tried with keyboard and seemed to have better success but then had problems like you described. So, I changed the analog sensitivity back down to 4% and then the game became playable. Also, somewhere along the way I changed the "dial digital speed" from 50 to 70.

Interesting...I watched the previous MARP high with the old version too but I didn't actually try to play with that version.

I hope the MAME developers fix the analog overflow bug someday. I'd really like to submit a decent game of Centipede someday.

Hm... I don't know why but on wolf99 my screen is 2 times narrowest than on for example version 33 mame. High is OK but width not.

You can, of course, alter this through resolution and aspect ratio.

Aspect ratio option are disabled because I have old graphic card.
Change resolution - still wrong width.
Disable 'enforce aspect ratio' - game speed about 80%.

Shhhhhhh....

He's still training for the two consecutive 30 million point jumps that are going to make him a rich man at Robert Mruczek's expense.

I see.

Well remind him to also send in his video footage of the Loch Ness Monster, and the news broadcast of when George W. Bush's approval rating is at 100%. All three clips are about equally as plausible...

it's fairly obvious they don't care.

it's not really a bug though. code needs to be added to make a ceiling voltage value for the pseudo-analog input.

ie. as you know real arcade analog controls typically have a maximum generated voltage of 5 volts.

this of course varies some from game to game.

all we need is some max sens setting in the config that would put a ceiling value on the input value.

then the user just needs to play with that value in combo with mouse sensitivity so the ceiling is just where the overflow can't occur.

I am using joypad, and this setting:
- Dial Analog - NONE
- Dial Increase - "J1 LEFT"
- Dial Decrease - "J1 RIGHT"

And Dip Switches:
- 120
- 50%
- On
- the default (3%?)

If I would play more, I would try around 140 instead the 120 above.
