Hello all and good bounty news:

I appear to have made it to the end of Atari's Toobin' on 1 credit again today (pinch me?). I have been pushing hard to figure out this amazing Atari classic, and this weekend I broke through to the end twice!

(1) Sat 4/12/14 Wolfmameplus-104 (GUI) finish @ Nightmare River Class 6-5 /// 10,756,727 points (All letters by the end of Class 3 and x5 bonus end Class 3>6) (by the skin of my teeth)
(1) http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/c/c/7/jky ... olf104.zip
(1) http://wolfmame.marpirc.net/wolfmameplus-0104.exe

(2) Sun 4/13/14 Wolfmame .152 (cmdline) finish @ Nightmare River Class 6-5 /// 8,322,505 points (The Letter T eluded me and I had two Class finishes less than x5) (but...10 patches left over)
(2) http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/2/4/c/jky ... olf152.zip
(2) http://wolfmame.marpirc.net/wolfmame-0152.7z

I will eventually try to break 10,000,000+ on Wolfmame .152 again, but I am now focusing on the Arcade version (it rotates out in a month back to storage to make room for Vindicators). I just got 8,325,722 points last night @ High Scores Arcade Alameda (Class 6-3). Wish me luck on beating the arcade version on 1 credit!

thanks for the inspiration + guidance + cheers

It's possible to "edit" your previous score to a lower score, then submit a higher one.
Sometimes it's necessary to edit more than one "previous score", well, just press "(edit)" in the side of your current score and you will understand what it means.

PS.: I suggest you "copy and save" the link of the INP that you're going to edit, because it will be ever saved in MARP as the original (link) score, for recovery purposes.

Congrats in the excellent performance dude! (Not sure if now you got it in the parent [toobin] romset).

Thanks!
That did the trick and here's the link to the new score:

Thank you for the bounty inspiration! I haven't done much gaming outside of Zelda, Super Mario and Rayman for almost 20 years (not a big fan of fighters, 1st person shooters, nor Hollywood production style gaming). But, no matter how many years go by, I am always drawn back to the arcade classics. Like many, I have had a hard time finding any good place to play them (let alone find games in good working condition). Lucky for me there has been MAME/MARP to keep me sane (+my trusty X-Arcade Tankstick). Even luckier: a new classic arcade "museum" opened right up the street from me last summer: High Scores Arcade in Alameda, CA brings back that 80's feel I thought was lost for good (awesome owners/staff + music, atmosphere, and competition as well as games in world class shape). Now I've got that arcade fever all over again!

Those classic titles focused on game-play above all else because they had so many hardware limitations. That's what I love the most about them. Toobin' is a great example of the original and addictive gameplay, music, level and enemy design that made Atari one of the most loved companies throughout the classic era and beyond. They were at the top of their game when they put out Toobin' and I am proud to be the first to finish it on one credit (still having a hard time believing nobody else pulled this off since 1988...but here we are).

Special thanks to Atari's Nolan Bushnell as well as Toobin' designer Milt Loper (720, Hard Drivin', Stun Runner) and his team:

On Nal's twitter he has a screen shot of the score board with a 256 hit chain. It turns out the end of 1-5 can be chained and it is worth 10 million points. It can also be done on 2-5. It is part of the reason why WTN has scored 84 million points. He messed up the 2-5 chain in that run and thinks he can score 90m if he does both of them in a good game.

I am extending the bounties to the end of 2015. I also increased the value of most of the bounties. I will also be adding more bounties in the future.

Also: NAL recently scored 61m on donpachi. :D

Anyone know who this player is?

He just won a bounty without even knowing it.

I also added another non-mame bounty.

Oh mah gah.

I had mapped out a route to finish the game with max capacity bonus last year (never did full runs) but he just went and did it while maintaining the combo 8O . Nothing about it looks fake either. Guess 2-5 max capacity is the only thing left for this game, but more as a demonstration. You probably can't counter stop while doing it since that huge combo at max rank must be murder.

Glad someone steamrolled those who kept the replays secret.

You know it's a gonna be a good replay when the video quality is fuzzy.
