Installed the x-arcade conversion kit into my HotRod SE over the weekend and it works like a charm. Plugs into the USB port, and no longer needs a keyboard connected etc. The kit also came with 2 x spare micro-switches, which you can use to fix any broken/worn joystick or button micro-switches. Nice! :)

It was clearly the keyboard encoder in my HotRod SE that was causing problems with some button/joystick contentions not the joystick/button hardware as everything now works correctly, without the issue with left/right movement getting "paused" by pressing the main fire button. I was expecting to need to replace some of the micro-switches!!

Unfortunately this does now make it much harder to justify buying a new controller... :(

Cheers,
BeeJay.
