I'd say the process to pick the players for each team would possibly be as interesting and fierce as the competition........especially Rest of the World or Europe......

And possibly Asia? And to make it worldwide maybe Asia and Australia?
Now that would be interesting...

No offence to any Africans or Antarcticans out there btw......but I don't think any of you frequent here.

Hmm...I'd forgotten that there are now seven continents. Why haven't they changed the Olympic flag?

His last post is from August 2005:

Maybe he is no longer on MARP?

I think the Continental idea is better than just countries.
Even if your not on the team you can cheer your team on.

Go Europe!

The rings on the Olympic flag never offcially represented continents, but "parts of the world": Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas.

Antarctica does not have its own indigenous population, government, or Olympic team.

You can find penguins in Africa and Australia. And here in NZ too, but I guess we don't count. :)

Stig PMed me back on December 27th to accept his nomination as Olympiad Coordinator, so he was still around in December.

I haven't heard from him since.
