WCC week 7 : ZEROWING

Post by Phil Lamat »

For week 7, we will play the second shooter of WCC (after lwings) : this is zerowing ; why I choosed this shooter ? I was looking for a shooter playable with m35tg and not yet finished by somebody (hard to find, believe me)

So the challenge is clear ... who will be able to finish this game ?

I'll let it slide... this time. ;D

And I don't know about finishing it, Toaplan shooters can be a bitch and a half to get through.

IMPORTANT : tonight I took a while to confirm first inputs, but if donut's input playbacks perfectly, it is not the same for "claqueur"'s one (I find exactly the same as Barry mentioned) ; I think it could be due to version used.

Donut used m35tg dos, claqueur used win35tg ; so it is probably better for this game to use dos version, which also playbacks ok my (very poor) input

the only problem is for me - I can't play with sound on using MAME DOS, and it bugs me. :) I'll do whatever of course, though.

and my Sidewinder (the only pad I have left now) only works with the Windows version, they didn't add DOS support for it until like m37b9 or something. And I don't enjoy playing shooters with a keyboard. Hmmm....

I didn't upload the wrong file because i always keep one file per game. If my score is good, i zip it immediatly and put it in another place on my hard disk. I think it comes from version mame32 0.35tg. I'll retry sunday with dos version.

Hey BBH, i think you'll need something to make what you said first : BUTTER !!!! Hehehehe

Then how do you explain the recording ending (as in being able to control the rest of the game) after your first death?

You've been allright. I didn't save the right file. I'm going to delete it and trying to make a real score.

Week 7 is over ...
Congrats to Joey (JVL) who won the round with 300000+

Also congrats to Nanni even if his input (made with m60 not 35tg) was not receivable for WCC : you should watch it, he has a very interesting way to beat boss 1

At 3 weeks from the end, we now have a tie for 1st place in general rankings ; very interesting (even if it is sad BBH didn't play round 7 ... holidays maybe ?)
