Well, all I can say, John, is that your pictures are probably not from 1998 when France defeated Brazil 3-0 in World Cup final :)

But Valter deserves congrats : he's the first to defeat Destructor in this tourney...
Anyway, also congrats to Destructor who was the first to finish the game (his 705200 score : http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/7/3/d/dt ... mame70.zip) and who has shared all his study of the game ;
the real spirit all tournaments are to be played with

Hehehe... "ceremony" is different than "party", hehehe... this last I love ;)

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Jubilant Brazilians poured out into the streets today in celebration of the upset victory of the country's own Valter Treib over the heavily favored Polish "destructor". WCC mania has swept the country the past three weeks following steadily improving performances by Mr. Treib on Drift Out 94 and Evil Stone. Not since Brazil's 2002 World Cup victory has this kind of demonstration been seen of the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, and Brasilia.
Ho-ho-ho... when I saw these images I though it was Innuendo's message, but not.
Just now is having a celebration here in front my work, hehehe ;)
Well... sincersly, I am happy :D

My preference is remember the 2002 finals (like JTC said), or the prior 1994 finals, hehehe ;) 1998 don't bring good feelings here :(

Well... at least Destructor don't will win this championship 'invencibible'. By the way... is very hard to beat Destructor in some game. Excellent challenge, Des! Congratulations!

Wow... good memory, mahlemiut! You remember this chat!
But like you said... just still... I am thinking in increase the rugby importance here just now... maybe we will change our "bad" position in this ranking... 1st goal = Argentina, 2nd = Poland, France, Germany, etc..., 3rd = the top! 8O Just kidding!

Yes, I wrote congrats Ace because I thought that Ace will beat my score 705200. Next day I edit this description and wrote that Ace13 didn't beat my score and second bonus point is for me.
I did't play 28 november and did't upload any score because I was totally drinked.
My inp 705200 has date 27 november 14:32. I submit it to MARP 27 november about 18:00 (polish time) and next go to party (19:00) and next I didn't play and didn't submit any score 28 november.

That's odd...it didn't get to MARP until 0820 the next day. I was there when the upload notice came in the irc channel. (It was about 2 in the morning here).

Barry also checked MARP's upload log. Phil quoted it above.

I'm sure 100% that I submit score to MARP before party (27 november 19:00).

Yes I remember, I wake up 9am polish time 8am GMT (my friend rang up to me) and I edit description in score, didin't submit score. I turn on PC before 10am polish time, 9:00GMT (10 am polish time I go to drink bar), I check scores and I edit description 8:20GMT that Ace didn't beat my score and second bonus point is for me.

I submit test score for pass to check what is write in e-mail when score is submit:
Hi destructor@HotTeam.pl,

This is an automatically generated email from the MAME Action
Replay Page to tell you about a new recording at the site.

Your account (login 'dtr') is set up to email you about
every upload.

The new recording was made by destructor@HotTeam.pl using version wolf89
and scores 176800 on pass (Pass).

The new recording is in position 7.

The new recording increases the uploader's total leaderboard score.

The description for the recording is: 'WCC4, test only.'.

You may view a list of scores for this game by visiting:
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... er_game=99

It can be downloaded from the Action Replay Page, as usual, or from:

http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/0/b/0/dt ... wolf89.zip

You can set up the things to want to be mailed about back at
the MAME Action Replay Page. It appears on the 'edit_user'
section of the main menu (click the 'Scores/Search/...' link at the
top of the page, then click 'edit_user'. You can also use that page
to say that you don't want to receive mail like this again.

If you have problems, please email zwaxy@seznam.cz. I will gladly
stop you receiving this email if you don't want it.

Zwaxy (kind of).
1. I think that info about time must be added to this automatic e-mail.
2. When I upload score, I often see info that are problems with e-mail send and e-mails are not send.

Ad. 2 example.
I made screenshot one moment ago:
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/upload.jpg
I didn't receive e-mails about BBH's Guerrilla War scores and Blost's Area51 score.

Yes, and sometimes there is a time lag for announcements in the irc channel.

But the upload log shows the time the submission was received by MARP. And that's the bottom line.

If you delete your later submissions, you'll see it yourself in the listings.
