Then it's called marathoning.
wuzel wrote: what about a situation when a no skill player manage 2 reach level for example 20 just by accident or with huge luck and all the rest of the players (maybe top players) only 19??? is he the best or just a luckiest??
Shit happens.
But the further the better in general so...
further is better - maybe but only in good games with defferent stages not in games like quantum :(
its only my opinion
It's good 2 be here with U guys :)

*sigh* Don´t take things wrong here... My opinion is that there might be an idea to try and play the game in a normal way, finish it and maybe try to maximize the game after that... right now it seems that priority nr1 is to find a leeching spot, see if it is ok and leech. That is just how I see it and I think a lot of other see it too. If you don´t see it yourself, oh well I can´t help you :)

Umm, Quantum was good and had different stages. Stages got harder, faster and with more starting particles as you progressed. Do you have to bash every game you struggle with Wuz?

damn!!! i dont have time 2 finish every game - its only a week of playing
here are 50 stages and i think is to many 4 me 2 reach the end but i will try.

second DAMN!!1 making points as they can be made is leeching?? i dont stand in one stage or another all the time and wait for points - there are many limitation in this particular game but ...let leave it
i m a leecher and not a good player all my scores are made with pesudo maximizing
hguys leave my alone

Ok no more comments from me about this, as it seems that you fail to understand my point.. oh well.. play as you want but you will have deal with people questening your recordings then.

Sorry for late answer (I wasn't at home yesterday).
With a time limit, I don't really like idea of ranking by stages ; and by the past on Marp, no leeching were banned for timed games (except gng & ghouls, but because of lifes leeching there)

So for the moment we're keeping ranking by points
(I hope I won't have to change that because someone found a big leeching issue)

Please demonstrate, as I haven't seen any leeching in this game yet.

i see your point but trust me i dont start every game just 2 find a leeching point
i m always trying 2 get everything posibble from each stage instead of simple passing it by :(
thats my definition
questening my recordings??? show me one or maybe 2 of my inps which are questionable??? afaik i dont have any :(

i like u qrs and respect your opinion but sometimes your antu leech policy is going 2 far - only MHO

My opinion on this:

I watched des' inp and I don't think we can call that LEECHING.
Phil said let's play for score, so, no problem, let's do it.
In my opinion, though, the stage system would have made inps shorter, and more fun to watch (instead of watching maximizing tactics that are a bit boring IMO).

Well MDARULZ inp for example is, but not in the WCC.

And stop taking things personally Wuzel, it's not the case really.

To Phil.

http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/8/6/f/dt ... mame70.zip

I dowload from MARP this inp, delete all cfg and ini files from my alphamame70 and playback this inp. Playback is correctly to score 1359800. I don't know why you can't playback it to score 1359800.
But don't worry I make higher score.
