I was talking about the 50k car, yes.
I'm not sure it's random, something could force the car to appear there.
Maybe weapon ? (remember "viewpoin" in k7)

The first stage bonus car doesn't appear in my games NEVER... so maybe it is not random. The cars of the three stage appear in my games sometimes, but I think all my games are very similar, using the same patterns and the same shoot type and number of bombs.

For the stage one car, you must destroy every enemy that appears from the start of the stage up to the area where the car appears. You must also have the last of the enemies destroyed before the car appears on screen.

That's not correct! I've been making tests detroying all the enemies, but the car does'n appear :?

Now I understand why one time I had over 300k after stage 1 when normally I have around 250k....

Not that I've submitted any scores because I won't be here for a couple of weeks soon... but I have been enjoying playing this game regardless!!

Yeah, you're right. Whatever else I was doing, I was just doing very consistently. I guess I was missing a couple enemies consistently and didn't realize it either...?

Anyway, how this actually works for the first stage is for every four enemies you destroy that the game actually counts, the car will appear. So 0 enemies destroyed, it will appear, 4, 8, etc.

The enemies/objects that do not count toward this are: the first three helicopters, either of the large tanks, the three small yellow tanks, any bonus point item containers, and the star.

This doesn't really matter much for scoring since the game just keeps looping anyway.
