Re: Profile error

When I click Profile in forum's upper menu I have a blank page. Yesterday I have: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: redirect() in /home/.sack/gushue/forums.marpirc.net/profile.php on line 99 Wuzel has identical situation. Viewing profiles should still work, but editing them doesn't seem to :...

[UPDATED 2022-03-22] Forum upgrades

[2008-01-15] I just upgraded the forums to phpBB3, so things will look different around here. Hopefully nothing is broken, but feel free to speak up if something is missing. [2008-04-07] The board should be working again, and updated to the latest version. For those of you not liking the new theme, ...

I could easily add a redirect for goldenera.marpirc.net or something like that. Or hosting, but that's already taken care of so not as important :) I'd never be able to remember the wacky jumble of letters for that page.

Arcade controllers?

In the past, I've thought about building my own set of arcade controllers (no room for an actual cabinet). But since you all know I'm lazy, why not just buy one? :) Now that there are a number of different ones around, other than the HotRod, who here has opinions on them? I'm sure that between the p...

Firefox was not my cup of tea, tried it for about a month. Besides with the SP2 update IE will not be infected by sites like these unless you actively install something from the site. It's all a matter opinion of course but opinions go out of date. Look what everyone said about XP when it came out....

WORD. IE can go to hell.
I stopped using IE years ago because it sucks :) There are much better options, including Mozilla Firefox.

I think I've played an actual Eight Ball Champ pinball machine before. Long ago. I don't think there is anywhere around here now that even has pinball machines at all :( I used to play a lot of Hollywood Heat while I was in university years ago, because we had it in our club room (along with a crapp...

per customer i think .. they seem to be blocked across ztnet because lev requested them to be blocked.. but afaik marpirc is another non ztnet server so they won't be blocked.. I just saw one on here a minute ago. why google don't just remove them from circulation I don't understand, they are clear...

you can get them blocked, we've eventually managed to get them blocked (the guy running them then registered to create an account on the boards, and called us all 12 year kids with no business sense because we didn't want his ads) so yeah, whoever agreed the deal with google should be able to get t...

Yeah, that mangled PSA one is pretty funny :) I could never get it to come up when I wanted to copy the text or take a screenshot. Except on this reply, naturally. It bothers me a little that people get away with selling ROM discs via Google ads. I'd email them (Google) about it, but I'm just too la...

marpirc.net update

Some of you may have noticed that marpirc.net has a new design. Ah, who am I kidding, nobody ever goes there, do they? :) So the only people that have seen it are probably the IRC regulars. Heheh... Anyway, I've been working on setting up a new design, and a new entry posting system, and stuff. It's...

until it's renewed: can you set the sitename to 66.33.221.97 so all generated links go to that instead of when going to the eventually unresolvable forums.marpric.net? Unfortunately, no. The way most sites work these days don't really allow it, since they have multiple hosts on the same IP. The dom...

domain expiry

If the forums aren't accessible after tonight, I haven't managed to renew the marpirc.net domain yet. It expires today, and I'll still trying to pay for it somehow. If it does go down, hopefully I'll have it back by the end of the week. Ok, obviously things are working again. Sorry about the little ...
