I've passed it on to Zwaxy, hopefully there'll be a response soon.

Cookie issue should be fixed, you did try logging in again?

Re: MARP hosting - UPDATE 2020-03-14

The issue is that cookies are set to expire in a "far off distant time". 22 years later, that time has arrived.
EDIT: This issue has been fixed, if you're still having login issues, try forcing a complete refresh of the website (usually Ctrl-F5).

Re: It's easier to call this "snpb - random"

Without specifically looking at the recent INPs in question, based on what I've read so far, that he must have some background process stealing lots of CPU time at certain times, as MAME seems perfectly capable of catching up as it is designed to do. He'd need to find what application is doing it, a...

Re: It's easier to call this "snpb - random"

TK tells me: For anyone who will play these games speed is 99-100%. Other recordings of saulonpb have 99-100%. So its not about weak hardware, its about software. Besides saulonpb has a great past in cheating. If you allow him to go on this way, he will really go on this way. At least in all his fut...

Re: Differences between INP versions

There's extra info stored in the header, but done in a way that should be backwards compatible to regular MAME. The difference in INP version number also makes it easier to determine which was used to make the INP.

Re: Emulating other systems?

I mostly just use MAME for everything (including computer/console stuff), although I have Mednafen, VICE, Dolphin and PCSX2 installed, too. I only have Retroarch installed for the auto-translation service it has, but since Retroarch is just a frontend with a collection of other emulator cores, I'd r...

Re: How to View INP?

How is it being run otherwise, such that options are set differently? You could try other renderer backends, either -video opengl or -video bgfx BGFX itself supports various graphic APIs, via the -bgfx_backend option, either d3d9 (Windows only), d3d11 (Windows only), opengl, gles, metal (OS X only),...

Re: Request: WolfMAME Linux Binaries

Source download seems to work via the Wayback Machine https://web.archive.org/web/20090308015400/http://x.mame.net/download.html I don't think I did upload the source diff anywhere (unless I forgot that I did, although I suppose I must have if someone's updated it) I don't think I can enable the fil...

Re: Request: WolfMAME Linux Binaries

You'll probably want an older GCC (about 4.x). XMAME doesn't use SDL, from what I remember.
I'm not sure on any other dependencies, but what documentation there is, should be in the XMAME source package.

Re: Request: WolfMAME Linux Binaries

I wouldn't really recommend 0.106, since it is woefully out of date (and I can't run it, due to missing 32-bit outdated libraries, unlike current MAME where most libraries are compiled in) I forget exactly when it happened, but there was a bugfix to consistently handle diagonals on 4-way joysticks, ...
