If I am not mistaken, my dfeveron recording would not playback when I recorded with sound on and played it back with sound on or sound off, it would only work if I recorded it with sound off and played it back with sound off. Not sure if this applies to all versions of MAME and if it happens all th...

How about adding to that a change of settings to 5 minutes (the maximum possible, 10 minutes 'game time') per credit?

18-way tie for first. Go figure.

BBH's comment on his SBM upload "hooookay. can we archive this now?"
Date: 17 June 2001.

Conclusion: It's about time Sonic Blast Man was archived.

Try recording and playing back at frameskip 0 (-frameskip 0 in DOS, -noautoframeskip in Win32). Failing that, try it without sound enabled (-soundcard 0 in DOS, -nosound in Win32/Unix).

What I meant was if the folder listed in mame.cfg matched where you stored the inp. Open mame.cfg in Notepad or some other text editor, and check for 'INP = ...' The default should be '.\inp' which refers to the subfolder 'inp' from where mame.exe is. Actually, that comma in the inp filename does lo...

Sounds like it can't find the inp. If it does find it, it should display the message "Playing back previously recorded game xxx [XXX] [press return]" and wait for you to press return. Of course, xxx is the games short name (ie: the name of the game zip) and XXX is the game's full name. Mak...

Linux and other stuff

Well, I have finally resolved my Linux DNS problems. Now I can browse the net in comfort (with a slight speed increase over Windows too). :D Now all I need to do is ditch the stupid KSirc client and get a better one. So does anyone have any suggestions for good Linux IRC clients? I do have a copy of...

Use mIRC 6.0 or 6.01, adds nice multi-server support.
