Re: Movies

Sort of a follow-up to previous list.

My guilty pleasures, as far as 80s films are concerned...

And no, I didn't include The Wizard (1989) or Joysticks (1983)... They're just damn too awful. :)

Re: Wolfmame on Android and/or Raspberry

I recall having some MAME for Android version which actually had touchscreen buttons support. But I uninstalled it since there were so few games which are even close playable without actual physical buttons/joy. Star Wars vector graphics arcade game on a touchscreen was sort of amusingly absurd expe...

Re: TK2012 & PP - ffreveng

But, if it claims to be a 1cc and isn't, that would definitely be noticed by the confirmer. That's assuming too much... 1. Most confirmers don't have editing rights 2. Many would not probably care/know what "1cc" stands for 3. One could of course add the description after your score is co...

Re: newfanta

Give me an examble. An inp which a confirmer may play, but someone else cannot. Countless. I've failed to playback confirmed scores many times. But if you make a recording and it doesn't playback even for you on same machine... then the odds that someone else would be able to playback it properly a...

Re: newfanta

b) the playback worked for them (but didn't work for confirmers checking it). Is this a joke? Because you should know its not true. No, it's not a joke. It's quite common that other confirmers have been able to playback a recording while you can't. It's a matter of different operating systems, mach...

Re: Archive these games -topic

and you never said anything about those other table-like games, where's your determination in archiving chess games? Or Ataxx? Othello, Renju, Connect 4, etc.? They should be archived as well. Connect Four... please! These are all nice games, as is mahjong... but not really video games. Where the h...

As do gambling games...

The question is: Do they require hand-eye-coordination, reflexes and timing?
...If they don't then I don't consider it a video game, or something which should be included into MARP LB.

Re: Archive these games -topic

So why don't we have poker then as tournament entry, or chess, or Mahjong...
None of these board/card games are actual video games, despite being played using a computer.

If we 'ban' solitaire and poker from leaderboard, we should do the same for mahjong and checkers.

Re: Archive these games -topic

Just because a game exists in MAME, does not mean it's suitable for competition. Slot machines and card games are not interesting games for competition because they're primarily luck-based. And more importantly, they're not interesting for people to actually WATCH. Remember that while MARP is a pla...

Seems to me that they just removed some scores. Doesn't mean the remaining scores are legit.

In any case, almost none left are of interest.

It's still fake though, around double the WR class score.
