Re: Shock Troopers Score Problem
Alright I figured out why Fraps wasn't working with MAME 0.106... had to run it full screen with -direct3d on, doesn't work in a window. It captures stuff beautifully with no hiccups or audio desyncs (as far as I can tell), but it doesn't record files larger than 4 gigs, it splits them up. Not real...

Re: Shock Troopers Score Problem
I had the most luck with ZDSoft Screen Recorder, but there's still a tiny problem with it - if you're recording video of a game that doesn't run at 60 fps, then the audio that gets captured will slowly drift off-sync the longer it goes. Ah yes, audio desynch. I used to fiddle with this stuff like 8...

Re: [K9] KNOCKOUT 9 - Only if many players are interested...
29 players have confirmed on these forums, I'm hoping this is enough? TRB, any approximate schedule for end of signups/beginning of tourney?
Oh, and someone post about this on CAG if you can figure out which forum to post in .

Give a shout if you're interested so we can make a list. Like most people I'm pretty busy but I'll spare a few hours for it, MARP needs to have something happen this year.

Re: Shock Troopers Score Problem
Yeah, that occured to me as well. If you had to compensate for timing differences it would just make it that much harder and would probably only work on one specific game. Assuming it worked at all. Maybe someday a coding genius will really want to watch some Shock Troopers. Keep your WinXP cd in th...

Re: Shock Troopers Score Problem
This old inp problem gets me thinking. If you can run it you could just make a video file for future preservation but that isn't convenient for MARP, you'd need a new inp. Although it would take some work, I wonder if it would be possible to build some program that would run in the background as you...

Re: K8 - Round 2 - Puzzle Bobble 2 (pbobble2j)
Once I declared forfeit, I assumed that PAC would automatically pass to the next round even if he submitted nothing. Even though he missed the deadline, I had basically made him the winner. Up to the coordinators of course but I think this would be a good rule: forfeit means auto win for the opponent.

Really? I was just about to upgrade and heard there were no problems with MAME on Win7. Did you try XP mode?Phil Lamat wrote:No 140 ? so I've choice between 0.106 with the lag, or 99 which doesn't work with Windows 7

Using the GUI I started the game, paused, held foward and used frame advance to find my result of 5 frames. Is this testing method incorrect?mahlemiut wrote:I see no lag in 0.140...
EDIT: I see one frame of lag in 0.106. Nothing more.

Re: K8 - Round 1 - Part 3 - Chiki Chiki Boys (chikij)
Game has 5 frames of lag, which is a lot. Wolf 99 has 4 which would help a little, what say you coordinators?
