Guard that Windows 98 machine with your life.

Seems like I'd have been SOL several times without it.

Seems amazing that it scores at all if its not playing back properly.

And I didn't think 6 was possible. What came up on the slots?

Plays back to 50 for me. (Three 7's)

Did you try it on your Window 98 machine Chad? It seems to play my stuff back better even though I'm recording with XP.

7 Editors and Zwaxy. He is everlasting, the only one etc so he is above the term editor j/k Ok seriously 7 editors and Zwaxy as the founder and owner etc. The staff list includes "editor" under his titles. So who else on that list isn't currently an editor? BeeJay? I'm not familiar with h...

Hmmm..

The rules page says there will be a maximum of seven editors. Either it or the staff list page must be outdated.

Oh well....

who are they?
Seriously?

http://marp.retrogames.com/staff.htm

The editors are: Zwaxy, Pat Laffaye, Skito(Chad), BBH, BeeJay, Barry Rodewald(mahlemuit), Frankie, Phil Lamat, and Anders Svensson(QRS).

BTW, how did we get so close to war?

Authority must be a very wise man. And how exactly would we qualify people...wisdom-wise? #I think skito, loadgaz,PL,barry,QRS are good enough. Are you suggesting that there are editors not good enough to start polls? Anyway - wouldn't that be better than the current situation, where anyone can sta...

Discussion: Authority to Start Polls

There has been some discussion in other threads as to whether the general membership should retain the ability to start polls or whether this should be left to the editors. The advantages of leaving this authority to the editors would include: 1) The prohibition of frivolous polls 2) Assurance that ...

After three days of not being able to upload from my home computer at all, I am able to upload directly from my computer today. Takes several attempts, and I still cannot upload at all from a URL.

Ironically this is just the opposite of what the situation had been normally prior to a few days ago.

The past 4-5 days it takes me 3-4 attempts to upload a score It used to take me 3 or 4 attempts to upload. My last 3 or 4 hundred from home have been unsuccessful. This is the third day I cannot upload at all. BTW why are most of the high scores with much older versions of MAME? I also have wondere...

The fact that I enjoy it is the only reason I'm still playing since my scores stink. Just now getting 44k after a week of playing. Had never played the game before. Never played Tetris either.

Also.....

Aren't people who can't upload going to be at a bit of a disadvantage in WCC3?

Moot issue for me since I stink at Blockout.

From another location with a faster connection I was able to upload a few recordings directly from the computer.

Still completely unable to upload from home.

I only seem to be getting messages 2) and 3) today, though.

It seems to be progressively worse. In the past a little perseverance was necessary at times, but today I literally tried all day with no success. Alternately got the messages: 1) got something from that URL : length 60058 bytes some kind of error with the zip file - couldn't unzip it command: './ex...

I don't think so.

Somebody needs to explain the concept here to Mr. Wiggins.

Be gentle.
