Re: Database problem
I would like to extend my gratitude to Wes Copeland for his willingness and determination in getting MARP up and running again. We as a community have kept MARP alive and breathing for almost 30 years now and the thought of losing the ability to access and interact with this site, would have been a ...

Re: Question regarding Galaxy Games 2 playback
Hi Phil,
That game that wouldn't playback, was Super Solitaire. I replayed it the following day and managed to beat my previous score with the one that's up there now (91,850).
I just noticed I'm down to 3rd place now. Looks like I'll be playing some more games over the next few days.

Re: Question regarding Galaxy Games 2 playback
Okay, I did some homework and this is what I was able to figure out. Apparently, wolfmame210 as well as wolfmame200 doesn't like NVRAM. I kept deleting the folder and it kept reappearing. Then I remembered a little birdie telling me many years ago that you can trick the program by deleting the NVRAM...

Question regarding Galaxy Games 2 playback
I recorded a game, then went to play it back and the cursor is all over the place (desyncing?). Is there something I'm supposed to do before recording? The INP breaks every time I play it back and I'm not hitting the F10 key during playback. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Must see recordings
For me it would have to be Gavin Ward's Marble Madness WR score. What he does with a trackball (or even harder, a mouse for that matter) is nothing less than incredible. Him moving that marble around the board is almost flawless. I would have crashed my marble 1,000 times if I zipped around the boar...

Re: Question regarding recording/playback of inps
Barry, Forgive me for my lack of knowledge (DOS vs CMD #-o). I'm wondering if these two buttons are standard in a gui like mameui64? I could always use that instead (i.e. File/Play and Record Input... etc.). I tried emuloader but it's a bit overwhelming for me at the moment. I like the feel of mameu...
ROM issue
I downloaded the pacmanblv rom to run in 0.202 and it said I'm missing several bin files. I downloaded every pacman/puckman rom that's out there and threw them in the rom folder and it STILL won't run (wtf?!). Can't figure it out. If someone has an answer, I'm all ears. Thanks!

Re: Question regarding recording/playback of inps
I can't believe I'm just now replying to this response. Sorry. So basically if I want to record/playback an inp I will have to do it through DOS, correct?

Question regarding recording/playback of inps
I just downloaded the latest version of wolfmame and like other versions I've downloaded in the past, their missing the record and playback buttons at the top of the screen. Can someone please tell me how I can go about fixing this so that I don't have to run the version in a DOS window in order to ...

Re: Question regarding playback of older inps
Are there any worthey replays what recorded by very old version? All the INP's are actually the ones I've uploaded to MARP since '98. I'm in the process of converting all of the them to MP4's so that I can upload them to my YouTube channel. I use OBS to play them back and then re-record them to MP4...

Re: Question regarding playback of older inps
I'm not using DOSBos since quite some time, but if I remeber well, you should create a folder like d:\OldMAME\.... and eventually multiple folders inside (i.e. m33b3), and then mount that folder as a drive: mount x: d:\OldMAME After that, in DOSBox, just type x: cd m33b3 and there you go..... Pleas...

Re: Question regarding playback of older inps
In order to run 15/20 years old versions of MAME you need a version of Windows that supports DOS (and not only the command prompt). You can achieve it by using a Virtual Machine like Virtualbox or VMWare. Or use DOSBox and install the MAME executable in it. Technically you can also use MAME inside ...

Question regarding playback of older inps
Hello all,
I was wondering if I need to download an emulator of sorts that will mimic an older computer (perhaps Win98) in order for me to watch INP's recorded from much older versions of MAME. Every time I try to view inps from back in the day, I keep getting this error:
