I just finished watching BBH's recording of Psychic 5. It's not what I wanted to watch, but it was damn good! And the playback worked. :D

Does anyone have MAME32 0.36 beta 14 for download?

Hi, I wanted to have a look at Bugfinder's Psychic 5 recording, but since I'm on Win XP and don't feel like installing win98 just for this, I was wondering if anyone has got the Win32 binary of MAME 0.36 b14. I've checked the "versions" link on this site, but there's only b15 or b11 and th...

Never mind. I found a better solution (for me anyway).

I run Mame32 in windowed mode without "Enforce aspect ratio" and simply drag the edges to the shape I want. Excellent. 8)

Big thanks. This only works in AdvanceMame, right? Because I really like to play in full screen and I don't know how to get that in AdvanceMame. Is there an option for that too, or am I stuck with windowed mode?

MAME -> TV Out -> 16:9 TV

Hi, I want to play MAME games on my television set, but as it is a wide screen, it looks kinda stupid playing games like Flying Shark in 4:3 mode with all that screen wasted. And don't get me started on stretching it all out to 16:9. First of all, I do care about how the original is supposed to look...

So I have to either go through the first horizontal stage and then the fortress tunnel without picking up any weapons, or die at the end of the fortress stage on the "eye" boss?

I'll check out your recording. Btw, what does the B powerup do?

Rapid fire in Gryzor

When I used to play Gryzor in the local arcades as a kid, you used to get a red powerup with a white R on it that sped up your fire. So if you got the machine gun with autofire + that R power up, it was the best weapon ever in the whole Contra series. I haven't been able to get that powerup in MAME,...

Re: re....

....doh. Do the above just as you enter the temple :-) And by "just as you enter the temple", do you mean as he puts the thing he lifts down or what? The times I've gotten the bonus, I've felt like I've timed it exactly to when the thing he holds hits the ground. And I don't really get th...

How do you get the secret temple bonus in Rygar?

I've managed to get it from time to time, but I just can't figure out EXACTLY how to get it. Does the score/time left have anything to do with anything? Does the times you pull back/down matter? Or is i just timing? I've managed to get it without pressing the jump button at the same time so I guess ...

Slightly away from the current conversation... You can also find finished games at the MARP Time Trials board... including a recording where Destructor defeated Contra in under 5 minutes! Just thought I'd let you know. I've got the inp file, but what mame build do I use to playback Destructors' gam...
